About The Author
D. Michael Reilly is a partner and co-chair of the Labor and Employment Department at Lane Powell. He concentrates his practice on employment litigation and advice, specializing in wrongful discharge, wage hour, ERISA, workplace violence, as well as race, sex, religion and disability claims. He has successfully tried over 20 jury trials, 35 arbitrations and numerous bench trials. Reilly is the author of "Handling Employment Liability Claims in Washington" (2d. Ed. 2001). His remarks on employment issues have been quoted in Newsweek, CFO.com and in professional journals and management publications.
Suzanne Michael is an attorney with the firm Lane Powell Spears Lubersky specializing in labor and employment law and litigation. She is a frequent speaker to legal education programs for lawyers and employers and has litigated many significant employment law issues on behalf of her clients, which have included some of the largest employers on the west coast. Michael works with corporations and non-profit organizations as a legal consultant, and is the author of numerous publications on trial tactics and employment issues. She is also an instructor for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.
