Medical Coding

2 Sessions –
210 Hours of Interactive Training

Our Medical Coding course prepares students for both the international coding standard, International Classification of Disease (ICD-9), as well as the U.S. developed system, Current Procedural Terminology (CPT). In addition to developing the professional skills necessary for accurate medical coding, this course will help the student prepare to sit for the American Health Information Management Association’s (AHIMA) Certified Coding Associate (CCA) exam. The companion CertBlaster for this class contains in excess of 300 practice questions for the CCA exam. With more than 200 hours of interactive study, this class requires no other prerequisite than a GED level educational background and either a familiarity with medical terminology, or the successful completion of our Medical Terminology course.

Benefits

  • Learn both the international and the U.S. coding systems.
  • Learn to properly record all aspects of a doctor-patient relationship.
  • Develop the professional skills for accurate medical coding.
