LearnKey's 4th Annual Scholarship Program
Eligibility:
To be considered, each school must complete the application and submit no later than October 14, 2009. Participation for the 2009/2010 school year will be limited to three schools. Also a minimum of ten qualified students from each school. LearnKey will notify selected schools by October 15, 2009.
Scholarship Program:
LearnKey is committed to helping teachers ensure student success. The LearnKey Scholarship Program was created around achieving industry certifications. The program is designed around LearnKey content to assist the teacher in preparing the student for the certification exam. Ultimately our goal is to get every student certified with an industry certification.
How:
Each student nominated must select one certification path. See the following choices:
- Certiport (IC3 GS³ Global Standards)
- Microsoft Office (MCAS or MOS)
- CompTIA (A+ or Network+)
- Adobe CS4 (Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, or Fireworks)
Once the path has been selected LearnKey will set the group of students up with the appropriate online training, free. The students will complete the pre test, training, and post test followed by the MasterExam test prep. It is imperative the teacher guides them through this process, without you this program cannot work.
Once the students pass the MasterExam test prep with 80% or more at least twice we will provide free certification vouchers*. This will allow the student to take the exam test at a testing facility. The teacher must notify LearnKey of the student name and passing score of the MasterExam before the vouchers delivered.
In addition to passing the certification exam each student must submit a video essay describing the benefits they have received from this training and how the certification will help them in the future.
Other awards* include tshirts and flash drives. Each student that passes the MasterExam will receive a LearnKey tshirt. Flash drives will be given to top performers. LearnKey also will award each student in person during the schools awards assembly at the end of the year and provide a pizza party for each class that participated.
