Education “Edutainment” that engages students and helps teachers

Learnkey has been busy over the summer making courses and workbooks for the new school year. We’ve also been out in the field quite a bit and have heard from teachers and administration about how they are using our product and what some of their needs are. We are working hard on this to make the 2007/2008 a positive year for teachers and students.

We have seen many schools implementing the IC3 curriculum, A+, Network+ and our learning series for office and operating systems. This program last year provided many students and staff the opportunity learn about computer with computer and many even went on to certify their students. Last year we had many students success stories and in our last newsletter we talked about a few of the scholarships we provided to students who passed their IC3 certification. We heard from many Business Application Teachers that they are successfully using our Office courses to teach excel, word, access and powerpoint.

Many schools have now implemented these courses into their staff training for front office personnel and their core curriculum teachers. Teachers told us they need to use multimedia applications to enhance their lesson plans and there is nothing like good graphics, charts, and lively presentation to bring the classroom alive.

For this school year we have brought you new courses for Office 2007, A+ Certification, a full graphics CS2 suite, and we’ve added some new courses. Our remedial math courses for Pre-Algebra and Algebra have been piloted at many sites and the comments from the students are “Great I finally got it, Thanks” , “ I really enjoyed watching the video on the math program, it just worked for me” Reach out to students that with video and multimedia content. Make your classroom the one that the students want to attend. Use your time to create better classroom experiences by using programs to bring the content alive and in the format the student thrive on.

This year we are releasing new student workbooks for office 2007, A+ 2006 and on the Web & Graphic design courses. We’ve also introduced out Character Building series for use in to help students work out some of the issues such as bulling, conflicts, emotional control, and stress.
