LearnKey IC³ Student Scholarship

LearnKey is excited to announce the qualifying schools for this year's scholarship program. Every student in each school selected will be eligible to participate in the scholarship program where they'll compete for a $1,000 scholarship!

Teacher/Program Administrators from each school will be responsible for nominating students and submitting criteria to LearnKey.

The five qualifying schools and Teacher/Program Administrators for 2008 are:

     Cristal Jones - Atlanta, Georgia - Creekside High School
     Thomas Jansen - Bedford, OH - Bedford High School
     Janie Roth - Jacksonville, FL - Sandalwood High School
     Becky Borowski - Carrizozo, NM - Carrizozo High School
     Bruce Swann - College Park, FL - Banneker High School


To compete for the $1,000 prize, students will be required to use LearnKey's IC³ training to learn computer fundamental skills, pass the IC³ MasterExam with 80% or better, take and pass the IC³ certification exam, and write a 500 word essay on how he/she has benefited from this training.

To add extra incentive for students to participate in this program, LearnKey will give all nominated students who pass the MasterExam test with 80% or better a free t-shirt! All MasterExam tests must be taken and scores received no later than March 31, 2008. IC³ certification tests and essays must be completed by May 1, 2008. The winner will be announced in June 2008.

The 2007 winner, Britney M. Thomas from Brewbaker Technology Magnet High School in Montgomery, Alabama, was awarded $1,000 toward her attendance at Florida A&M University.

* Student must be enrolled in the selected educational institution and in good academic standing at the time the awards are issued, or have graduated in the last six months.
