LearnKey Announces IC³ Scholarship Winners

Learnkey in conjunction with some high schools provided $1000.00 scholarships to students for college funds. In a quest to better prepare students for the jobs and college several teachers worked with their students to take the challenge at hand. These students each went through the IC3 training, prep testing, and completed the three tests from Certiport to gain their IC3 Certification.

LearnKey offered its annual scholarship program to several high schools around the nation. Schools were selected with a focus on areas in need of social and economic development. This program was to prepare students with computer fundamentals, key software applications and online living Based on applications submitted, LearnKey selected five schools to participate in the program. Three winners from the various schools were chosen, awarding over $3,000 in prizes and scholarships.

Each student interested were provided IC3 training from LearnKey. Upon completion of the training, students took the LearnKey MasterExam to validate their knowledge. Once the test was passed with a score of 80% or better, students received Certiport test vouchers from LearnKey. With these test vouchers students were able to take the Certiport IC3 Certification exam, those who passed were eligible for the scholarship. Students were also asked to submit an essay describing what they learned and how they can apply that knowledge to real life.

Imandi Herndon from Creekside High School in Georgia was awarded $1,000 scholarship.
David Burkins from Sandalwood High School in Florida was awarded $1,000 scholarship.
Devin Schwab from Bedford High School in Ohio was awarded $1,000 scholarship.
