Video and Audio is choppy or does not work in Media Player


Symptoms:

    When launching the training, the video and audio does not work or it is choppy.

Detailed Information:

    When Windows plays a sound or video clip it utilizes what is called a CODEC which COmpresses and DECompresses the video/audio and plays it through the sound card and video card of your computer.

Solution:

    You can download a codec pack from www.free-codecs.com.

    For XP
    When you get to the web site, look for the Codec Packs section on the left
    1. Find and click on K-Lite Codec Pack
    2. Click the Download link
    3. Choose one of the full pack links.
    4. After the download is complete, install it
    5. Start the training again.

    For Vista
    When you get to the web site, look for the Search box in the upper right corner of the site

    1. Enter the words Vista Codec in the box and press enter
    2. Click on the Vista Codec Package search result
    3. Click on the Download Vista Codec Package link in the middle of the page
    4. Click on the download link and save to your computer
    5. After the download is complete, install it
    6. Start the training again.
